A Trip Alone!

A few weeks ago I got to fly back home then drive with my parents, sister Sharon, and grandma Nini to Columbus, OH for my cousin's wedding by myself. The kids stayed here with Nate and his parents. It was so nice to take a break and have fun with my family. My other sister Julie and my little brother Peter came for the wedding too. Earlier in the week my dad had fallen out of a tree while trimming branches and broke 5 ribs so we were glad he was still able to make it for the drive. Alison and Ben's wedding was beautiful. She looked gorgeous and like she was a bride out of the past. While we were in Columbus, we went to this German restaurant that was fabulous. They had live music (a tuba and accordian) that set up right in front of our table. The guy was a hoot. He dedicated the most famous drinking song to our table and we were all drinking water! We had so much fun that night at dinner. While in Ohio we also got together for a little family reunion with some of Nini's siblings. I enjoyed visiting with them. It was nice to spend some good quality time with my sisters without our kids being around. I enjoyed being with my parents and Peter and Grace too. I agree with Julie that we should make it a yearly or bi-yearly get together. Thanks mom and dad for the wonderful trip.

Classic picture of Peter and me. (We could probably fill an album of pictures of just the two of us.)
