Lions and Tigers and Bears....Oh My!

In the spring we bought a pass to the zoo and I have to say it was one of the best investments we have made.  The kids LOVE to go to the zoo and now we can go anytime for free.  The best time we went was in May.  The weather is nice and kids are still in school so it almost feels like you have the zoo to yourself.  I have the feeling that September is going to be a lot like May for us and the zoo.  When we first got the pass we went every week.  Sometimes we even went twice a week.  Once we went with Shannon, Meg, and Sam and another time we went with my parents when they were in town.  We are planning on going for Rob's birthday this year too and trying to get Vicki and Mark to come with us.  Nate's new thing is to take the camera to the zoo and get lots of pictures of the animals.  I think we have over 300 pictures by now of just the animals.  It's crazy.  Rob's favorite animals are the giraffes.  He also likes the reptile house with the snakes.  We don't know what Bella's favorite animal is yet but she loves the snakes too.  They also love to ride the carousel and the train.  We are happy to have a nice zoo close by to take the kids to.  It's also nice because it has a lot of big trees which means lots of shade.  We look forward to many more trips to the zoo including trick-or-treating and zoo lights.  *Warning: There are a lot of pictures.*
